SUMMARY:Summer Jam
DESCRIPTION:The 23rd annual Summer Jam festival is a true party with live bands\, kids activities\, expansive beer garden\, delicious foods\, and a show-stopping fireworks display to finish up the night!\n\n\n\nSummer Jam 2016: ROCK OF THE AGES!\n\nSpring Ticket Special (April 1-May 31): Only $10\n\nJune 1-July 2: $15/ At-gate: $20 (kids under 7 are free!)\n\n\n\nLINEUP:\n\n5:30-6:30 Party of Four\n\nThe music of the seventies can be viewed as a reaction to the huge wake left behind by The Beatles. But by the 1980's and 1990's\, the world was ready again to embrace melodic jangle pop. Power pop devotees like Matthew Sweet\, the Posies\, and Teenage Fanclub-- clearly influenced by '60s melodies and song structure--opted for a more modern guitar sound. Bands like Counting Crows\, Gin Blossoms\, and Tom Petty represented middle American jangle pop\, as contrasted with the mold-breaking innovation and aggression coming out of Seattle.\n\nWith unerring accuracy\, Party of Four plays it all and then some. Anchored by the drumming of Jim Blossom\, the twin jangle of guitarists AC Purdy and Rick Becker chimes above Beau Jangle's bass while their four-part harmonies bring to life the best songs of the last two decades of the twentieth century. \n\n\n\n7-8:00 Teaze\n\nA TEAZE show is a glimpse back in time\, an authentic tribute to rocks most outrageous era. Playing the greatest party anthems from Bon Jovi to Van Halen\, with stage moves Poison wouldn't dare attempt. If you long for the days when the grass was green\, the girls were pretty (and so were the guys)\, let TEAZE pour their sugar on you.\n\n\n\n8:30-10:00 Three Sheets to the Wind\n\nNamed both as "Best Band" by Richmond Magazine\, and "Best Cover Band" by STYLE Weekly for five years running (2011\, 2012\, 2013\, and 2014\, and 2015)\, Three Sheets to the Wind is America's #1 Tribute to Yacht Rock.Three Sheets to the Wind pays authentic tribute to AM Gold classics from the '70s and '80s--undoubtedly the smoothest music ever created by mankind. It was an era of high gas prices and oil embargoes that led America back to the simple joys of sailing\, pina coladas\, moustaches\, and love...sweet love.\n\n\n\nFood Vendors:\n\nJack Browns Burger Joint\n\nK's Grill- Thai-American\n\nBig Fat Daddy's-BBQ and more\n\nSweetfire Grill- quesadillas with a twist\n\n\n\nKid's Corner:\n\nBrought to you by the partners of the Shenandoah Valley Kid's Trail. More Info Coming Soon!\n\n\n\nWine and Beer Garden:\n\nTickets: $4 each\n\nWine will be available from Cross Keys Vineyards\n\nBeer: Miller Lite\, Blue Moon\, and Coors Light. \n\nAdditional beers will be added soon!\n\n\n\nFIREWORKS begin at 10:00pm!\n\n\n\nProudly presented by our 2016 sponsor team:\n\nCrossKeys Vineyards\n\nGo BlueRidge Travel/ Shenandoah Valley Kids Trail\n\nSolace Studios\n\nRockingham County\n\nBlue Ridge Beverage\n\nMillerCoors\n\n\n\nALL proceeds go directly to the RH-SPCA.\n\n\n\nTickets are non-refundable.
