4th Annual Chive Virginia Campout and River Float
If you have missed us the past three years, then here is your big chance. We are setting this up a year in advance in hopes we can sell out the entire campgroud.
$8 to camp, $22 to float.
Campsite has running water, small shop during the day, firewood, grills, and hot showers. Kids eight and under camp for free. Dogs are allowed, but are not allowed on the tubes so you will have to get a conoe or possibly a raft if you are taking them on the river. Double check on the raft if you are going that route for your dog, though.
Before everyone starts asking about if you bring your own tube do I have to pay, still? Yes. If you ride the bus to and from the river, it's $22. With everything together, you are getting your money's worth here. And after three years, they still like us!

Reservations must be purchased as soon as possible. Two weeks before the event, reservations will be released back to the public and you will have to fend for yourself. The camp and river float will sell out regardless if do it on our own or not.. This is a very popular company.
**NO GLASS ALLOWED ON THE RIVER**
If you want to just camp and not float, just reserve a camp slot.
Same for those who only want to float and not camp, just reserve a river trip.
Friday: Up to you if you want to stay that night, so don't feel obligated to reserve a camping slot. But keep in mind, the last bus of the day leaves at 1pm-ish for river floaters.
Saturday: Ralley up and take group photo at 11:00. Head to cabin around 11:15 to grab a lifevest(don't have to wear it, just have to have one) and sign the waiver. Need to have some kind of footware that are not flipflops. Depending on water levels, time on the river could be about 2hrs or up to 4hrs. WATERPROOF SUNSCREEN! Soft coolers for the win. One coolertube can hold 2-3 coolers. **Check the website for information on rules and regulations pertaining to alcohol**
