📢 PACA's 2026 Annual Float Your Cardboard Boat Regatta

Get ready for an exciting day of creativity and competition at Hawksbill Recreation Park on Saturday, August 15th, 2026. Whether you are building a masterpiece or aiming for the "Titanic" award, it’s time to put your engineering skills to the test. Check-in begins at 9:00 AM, and the first race kicks off at 10:00 AM.

🏗️ Building & Race Guidelines Boats must be constructed entirely from cardboard—maximum 3 layers thick—without the use of plastic sheeting, resin, wood, or metal. You are encouraged to use your imagination! Please ensure your design adheres to the official rules regarding seam taping (no more than 2 inches from the seam) to remain eligible for prizes. All vessels must be inspected at check-in. Participants must bring their own paddles and personal floatation devices (PFDs).

🏆 Prize Categories In addition to race speed, awards will be given for:

• Team Spirit: The most energetic team of the day.

• Best Costume: The most creative attire and boat pairing.

• Titanic: The most spectacular sink.

• Pride of the Regatta: The most impressive cardboard boat entry.
