Pickin at the Post

The 13th Annual Pickin' at the Post (also known as "Bo Grass Weekend") is a 4-day bluegrass music festival taking place over Labor Day Weekend from September 3 to September 6, 2026. Hosted at Luray VFW Post 621 in Luray, VA, 100% of the event's proceeds directly benefit veterans.

Key Highlights & Schedule

• Kick-off Event (Wed, Sept 2): Campgrounds open at 10:00 AM. At 6:00 PM, attendees can enjoy a $15 pulled pork BBQ dinner followed by an outdoor screening of O Brother, Where Art Thou? at dusk.

• 4 Days of Live Music: Features 20 different bluegrass bands playing daily sets across two large, covered pavilions (rain or shine).

• Special Tributes: A Veteran Luminary Ceremony will be held on Thursday at 4:00 PM during the supper break.

Admission & Amenities

• Tickets: $50.00 for a 4-day pass (includes free rough camping) or $20.00 for a daily ticket at the gate.

• Food & Fun: Homemade concessions are served daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The festival also features open jamming, 50/50 raffles, silent auctions, a bake sale, and local vendors.

• Camping Amenities: Onsite restrooms, a shower house, and a dump station ($15 fee) are available.
