Virginia Outdoors Festival
VOF is partnering with the White House Farm Foundation in Page County to host the 2017 Virginia Outdoors Festival. Join us for a day of casual family-friendly activities, food and craft vendors, and presentations focusing on conservation, water quality, native species, and more.
Featured activities include
- Guided river walks along the South Fork Shenandoah River
- Guided tours of the historic White House, one of Page County’s oldest buildings
- A native plant sale by Hill House Nursery
- A native wildlife presentation by Luray Zoo
- Canoe rides at the White House Public Boat Launch
- Locally made food and products
- Nature-themed crafts and games for kids
- Presentations and exhibits by local conservation groups and natural resource agencies
Tentative schedule
- 9:00am: Vendors, exhibits, activities open
- 9:30am–10:30am: Guided River Walk
- 10:00am–2pm: Canoe rides at White House Boat Launch
- 11:30am–12:00pm: Guided White House Tour
- 12:30pm–1:15pm: Native wildlife presentation by Luray Zoo
- 1:30pm–2:00pm: Guided White House Tour
- 2:00pm–3:00pm: Guided River Walk
- 3pm: Vendors, exhibits, activities close
