White Oak Basket Making

Local basket artisan, Clyde Jenkins, returns to Big Meadows Lodge (mile 51 on Skyline Drive) to share his talent of basket making. Clyde teaches participants how to make a white-oak basket with techniques handed down through the generations. 

Structured for beginners to intermediate. $50.00 per person fee includes all materials to make one basket.

Reservations are encouraged. A credit card will be taken at time of booking to guarantee space and card will be charged 72 hours prior to the event. Cancellation must be received 72-hours prior to the event to avoid processing of payment. If less than 72 hours notice received, payment is non-refundable.
